About this Piece
This composition is adapted from a photo of an actual event. My family and I were blessed to be present at this Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on Good Friday, 2003, so it is a picture that is dear to our hearts. I added the star above the chalice to represent Jesus’ presence in the Blessed Sacrament and to emphasize the intimate “communion” taking place, uniting Jesus, Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Ratzinger.
